Menu for charters aboard Mi Vieja

In addition to your menu choices below, all charters come with:

  • A welcome fruit platter
  • Tortilla chips
  • Freshly diced Mexican style salsa
  • Guacamole

Our menu is served tapas-style, so instead of one full-sized sit-down meal, it will be served as it’s ready throughout the charter. We’ve found this the best way to eat aboard a yacht. Everyone can pick and choose at their leisure, relaxed and dine wherever on the boat they’d like.

The Sea

SHRIMP TACOS WITH TROPICAL SALSA

Shrimp on corn tortillas with avocado and a tropical salsa of mango or pineapple (depending which is freshest and in season), tomato, red onion, cilantro.

Portion: 2 tacos per guest

MEXICAN STYLE SHRIMP CEVICHE

Fresh shrimp, cooked in lime juice with cilantro, diced tomatoes, and white onion.

Portion: 1-6 guests: 0.5 lb. of ceviche (approx 1 bowl); 7-15 guests: 1.2lbs. of ceviche (approx 2 bowls); 16-20 guests: 2.2lbs (approx 3 bowls)

PERUVIAN STYLE FISH CEVICHE

Fresh white fish (grouper, dorado or snapper) cooked in lime with red onion, cherry tomatoes, radish, salt, pepper, and topped with cilantro.

Portion: 1-6 guests: 0.5 lb. of ceviche (approx 1 bowl); 7-15 guests: 1.2lbs. of ceviche (approx 2 bowls); 16-20 guests: 2.2lbs (approx 3 bowls)

SEARED TUNA WITH A MISO GLAZE

Freshly caught tuna, seared with salt and pepper, topped with a miso glaze. Simple and fresh.

Portion: Approximately 3 pieces per guest

MEXICAN STYLE SASHIMI

Fresh tuna, finely sliced in a house marinade with red onions, cucumber, and avocado.

Portion: Approximately 6 slices of sashimi per guest.

Vegetarian

VEGETARIAN/VEGAN TACOS

Bella mushrooms on corn tortillas with smoked paprika potatoes and a tropical salsa of mango or pineapple (depending on which is freshest and in season), tomato, red onion, cilantro.

Portion: 2 tacos per guest

VEGGIE SKEWERS

Mixed seasonal vegetables on skewers, cooked on the outdoor grill (this does use the same cooking surface as the meat skewers)

Portion: 2 skewers per guest

CHEESE QUESADILLAS

A simple classic. Cheese or chicken with cheese quesadillas made aboard with a trio of sauces including sour cream, salsa verde and salsa roja. These are always a favourite.

Portion: 6 pieces per guest.

LAND

PULLED PORK SLIDERS

With the pulled pork sliders you get two flavors: Mango with Mexican Chile sliders and Al Pastor style sliders (Al Pastor is a famous taco flavoring used most commonly on street pork tacos with citrus, adobo, achiote, and seasonings)

Portion: 2 sliders per person (one of each flavor)

CHICKEN OR STEAK FAJITAS

Marinated and seasoned chicken or steak with a fajita medley of veggies, served family style with tortillas and sauces.

Portion: One chicken breast or equivalent size in steak per guest.

CHICKEN AND CHEESE OR CHEESE QUESADILLAS

A simple classic. Cheese or chicken with cheese quesadillas made aboard with a trio of sauces including sour cream, salsa verde and salsa roja. These are always a favourite.

Portion: 6 pieces per guest.

GRILLED SKEWERS

Meat on a stick, grilled on the back deck of a yacht out in the sunshine at sea. What’s better than that?

Choose two types:

  • Steak
  • Chicken
  • Pork
  • Shrimp (for an additional $4/pp)
  • Vegetables (Note: the vegetarian/vegan skewers are cooked on same grill as the non-veg skewers due to limited cooking space on yachts)

Marinade and seasonings are prepared Chef’s Choice. We like to mix it up working with fresh ingredients, different sauces and seasonings. If you have any specific allergies or flavor aversions, let us know and we can work with that. Example: Can’t eat spicy foods, don’t like onions, etc.

Portion: 2 x 12” skewers per person.

GRILLED WINGS

Choose one style: Honey & Spice, Mexican Adobo or Peri-Peri

Portion: 6-8 wings per person, served on a platter for all guests — if you have less than 6-8, look around for the friend with fingers and lips covered in sauce. They ate yours.

STEAK TACOS

Marinated butcher’s steak on corn tortillas with a fresh-made garlic and avocado sauce, red onions, cilantro, and red cabbage.

Portion: 2 tacos per guest

KID’S MENU

In addition to your main tapas selections, add one item from below for kids up to age 12 to share.

MINI HAMBURGER & POTATO CHIPS

Mini Buns with a real ground beef patty, lettuce, cheddar cheese, tomato, potato chips

Portion: 1 hamburger per child and a side of chips

CHEESE MELT (GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH)

Option 1: Cheese with bacon and tomato
Option 2: Triple Cheese
Option 3: Cheese and avocado

Portion: 1 sandwich per child, cut into triangles.

CHICKEN FINGERS & FRIES

Breaded and fried chicken fingers served with fries and ketchup.

Portion: 4 chicken fingers per child and a side of fries.

CREAMY STOVETOP MAC & CHEESE

Macaroni, cheddar cheese, butter, whipped cream, salt and pepper

Portion: 1 kid’s size plate per child, approximately 150 grams
